This is unlikely since the “base” of Twitter is text messages. If that limit increases they will probably follow suit, but it’s meant to be read on your phone.

Ahh, I didn’t know phones could only read 140 characters at a time. I have only used it on the web. don’t have a cell phone yet (waiting for my bank account to tell me it wants an iPhone)
what about when I send messages in AIM through SMS, I can send longer ones then 140, do they get broken up or something?
